I signed up for an account, but I can't sign in. Why?

It's likely because your account hasn't been approved. Budee is exclusively available to Texas Hemp Growers members. If you have not signed up first at, then your account will not be approved, even if you apply.

If you are a member, then allow up to 48 hours for approval. Once approved, you will receive an e-mail directing you on how to login and set your password. Accounts are approved fairly quickly, usually in under an hour. If you feel you've been overlooked, you can send an e-mail to

I didn't get the approval e-mail. What do I do?

What's the difference between a license, facility, and lot?

Budee is built with Texas Department of Agriculture's hemp rules in mind. Those rules stipulate, at minimum, to grow hemp in Texas, you must have a license, a facility, and one lot.

  • License - Your license can include multiple facilities. When you applied for your license, you also applied for your first facility. However, you can add more facilities to a single license, if you grow in different areas of the state.
  • Facility - A facility represents a contiguous area where hemp is grown, harvested, handled, and even processed. A facility could just be a farm field with a drying barn, or it could be 50 acres with a giant drying and processing facility. What matters is that it's all bordered together in a facility. 
  • Lot - Lots are attached to facilities, and represent an area of your facility where you are growing hemp. A lot is limited to one variety. So a facility could contain multiple lots, each with its own variety.   

I created a license and a facility, why isn't it showing on the home/facilities page?

You need to still create a lot and assign it to the facility. Once you assign your first lot to a facility, that facility will show up on the home page. 

Why am I getting an "access denied" message when creating a license/facility/lot?

Standard Budee accounts are limited to 5 licenses, 5 facilities and 20 lots. If you have hit your limit and attempt to add another, you will receive an access denied message. 

Why can I not delete my license/facility/lot?

The purpose of Budee is to provide traceability down to the consumer level. Allowing users to delete their lots, facilities, and licenses could potentially disrupt a transparency chain that has been applied by a processor, manufacturer, or retailer. Instead, we are working on a feature that will allow you to "expire" your licenses, facilities, and lots. This will allow you to create new entities if you've reached your cap, while still maintaining the data in the system. You can always edit any license, facility, or lot if you make a mistake.
